Last weeks the North Irish capital of Belfast had a worrying deja vu of the troubles between catholic and protestant sides in the city. Violent riots broke out between catholic and protestant youngsters near what is called the Peace Line that divides catholic and protestant quarters.
Three years ago I made a story on the quarters Shankill and Falls which are divided by walls, barbed wire and check points that make up the so called Peace Line. Since the end of the civil war it has been mostly peacefull indeed and these areas have become the major tourist attraction of the city. I really hope that the recent riots will remain an isolated event and Belfast will continue to be the great travel destination it became in last years.
