Turkije is momenteel een van de snelst groeiende economieën ter wereld. Daardoor groeit de middenklasse en krijgen de grote steden een moderner aanzien. In Istanbul contrasteert die modernisering met de eeuwenoude monumenten en het traditionele straatbeeld waar de stad om bekend staat. Ik maakte in april 2012 deze fotoserie over het nieuwe oude Istanbul met zijn verscheidenheid in levensstijlen.

English: As one of the fastest growing economies Turkey is rapidly becoming a modern looking country with a prosperous middle class. But at the same time Istanbul is a city of ages with its historic monuments and traditional lifestyle in many older parts of the city. In april 2012 I made a documentary on this mega city with its contrasting lifestyles.
